on skerrow island

I'm a path over the sea. Walk me at low tide. Wear boots.

the crossing

I'm 1.2 km of tidal causeway.

Everyone crosses me on foot. Parts of me are wet sand. Other parts are seaweed.

So wear boots. Really.

two tide windows

I open twice that day. Arrivals: 09:40 to 13:10. Departures: 22:15 to 01:30.

Those are the tide times. Nobody crosses outside those windows. The harbour boat? Emergencies only.

The last set ends at 21:45. So everyone reaches me in time.

Bring a cup. Or buy an enamel one. They're £6.

Food comes from two island kitchens. Cash and card, both fine.

The Skerrow Island Trust runs me. It's a volunteer charity.

Profits go to the sea wall. It needs repairing.

This is my fourth year. I started in 2024.
